WASHINGTON — The Inauguration ofDonald J. Trump as the 47th President ofthe United States of America, made somedramatic changes at the last minute dueto the extremely cold weather that movedinto Washington D.C. The Inaugural Committeemoved the swearing-in and inauguraladdress indoors to the Capitol Rotunda.Which meant several hundred Trump supportersthat had tickets to attend the Inauguration, gathered inside the Capital OneArena, in downtown Washington D.C., notfar from the National Mall. The indoor ceremony went off without ahitch and Trump made it a point to visit theremote viewing areas setup in the Capitol.Later during a celebration inside the CapitalOne Arena, Trump began signing a slew ofexecutive orders that included withdrawingthe United States from the Paris ClimateAgreement.Trump went on to declare a nationalemergency on the Southern Border whiledesignating criminal cartels as terrorgroups. He also signed an executive orderto bring an end to birthright citizenship forchildren born to undocumented parents.Afterwards, in true Trump rally fashion, hetossed the pens he used into the audience.Later that afternoon, when Trumpstepped back into the Oval Office, the 47thpresident pardoned more than 1,500 peoplewho were charged with storming the USCapitol on January 6, 2021. That includedcommuting the sentences of those convictedof crimes that involved violence againstpolice officers. That move angered theFOP and other police organizations acrossthe country after Vice-President JD Vancestated less than a week ago that wouldn’thappen. It’s hard to say why the Presidentchanged his mind and either pardoned orcommuted the sentences, but he told thepress that had gathered inside the Oval Officeduring the signing, that liberal DA’s across thecountry have failed to even prosecute suspectsthat committed violet crimes includingmurder. And he felt that all these individualshad served more than enough time for theiractions and deserved to be released.116 The BLUES - FEBRUARY ‘25
Perhaps the fact that Joe Biden pardonedall the J6 Committee Members ANDhis entire family during Trump’s Inauguralspeech had something to do with it.A tit for tat. And while journalists (if youwant to call them that) from ABC accusedTrump of not supporting the police, hefired back that he was an adamant supporterof all First Responders which he infact is.Among the other orders Trump signed onMonday included renaming of the Gulf ofMexico to the Gulf of America and he alsosigned an executive order to delay the banon TikTok for 75 days. The BLUES - - FEBRUARY ‘25 117
