FLORIDA DEPUTY USES VEHI-CLE TO TAKE DOWN SUSPECTON BIKEFLAGLER COUNTY, FL. – AFlagler County Sheriff's deputyused his patrol vehicle to takedown a suspect on a bike whoreportedly brandished a handgunthat was observed by the deputy.Late on the night of January 4,a Flagler County (Florida) Sheriff’sDeputy encountered a manon a bicycle in Palm Coast whorefused to stop and speak, fledfrom the deputy, and brandisheda handgun, the sheriff’s officesaid on Facebook.Deputy Christopher Murphynudged the suspect with thefender of his patrol vehicle andknocked him off the bike. Murphythen took the suspect into custodywith the assistance of DeputyMichael Anderson.The suspect has been identifiedby law enforcement asMichael McDermott. A 9mmRuger firearm was recoverednear McDermott, who was foundwearing a holster for the weapon,the sheriff’s office said.McDermott was arrested forAssault or Battery on a Law EnforcementOfficer, Fleeing andEluding, Resisting an Officer withViolence, and Possession of aFirearm by a Convicted Felon. Hewas transported to AdventHealthPalm Coast Parkway due to aminor injury to his right ankle.After being treated and released,he was taken to the Sheriff PerryHall Inmate Detention Facility.McDermott has an extensivearrest history in Flagler Countysince 2013 and prior to hisarrest had been released fromthe Sheriff Perry Hall InmateDetention Facility on December17, 2024, after serving a 90-daysentence for Possession of Fentanyl.DETROIT OFFICER KILLED INCRASH DRIVING HOME FROMSHIFTDetroit Police Officer CameronRichardson was killed in avehicle crash shortly after midnightSunday while driving homefrom his shift. The other driverreportedly fled the scene. Richardson,was driving home in aJeep Wrangler after working ashift when a motorist allegedlyattempted to make a turn intoan intersection and hit the Jeep,causing it to roll, CBS reports.The vehicle that hit the Jeep,described by witnesses as awhite van, left the scene, butwas found a short distance fromthe intersection, the MichiganState Police say. A firearm wasreportedly found in the van.The driver of the van, identifiedCLICK TO WATCHOfficer Cameron Richardsonby authorities as a 28-year-oldman, is not in custody. VETERAN COLORADO DEP-UTY RESIGNS OVER WORK INADULT VIDEOSARAPAHOE COUNTY, CO – AnArapahoe County, Colorado,Sheriff’s deputy resigned lastweek in the midst of a departmentinternal investigation intoher performing in adult videos,jobs she says she took out ofeconomic “desperation."Shannon Lofland, a 21-yearveteran of the sheriff’s office,told CBS News Colorado shestarted performing in adult videosbecause "I was desperate, Iwas drowning.
