(KOLN/GrayNews) - A Nebraska trooper diedafter he was hit by a snowplowwhile responding to a crash inwinter weather conditions.The Nebraska State Patrol says31-year-old Trooper Kyle McAcywas killed Monday morningwhile responding to a crash onInterstate 80 between Greenwoodand Ashland, KOLN reports.While McAcy was outside hispatrol unit, authorities say hewas hit by the driver of a snowplow.Other troopers immediatelyrushed to his aid, but he diedon scene.McAcy was a 10-year veteranof the state patrol. He was agraduate of Camp 56 and worebadge #302. He had served inthe patrol division, carrier enforcementand as a crisis negotiator.He was stationed in Omaha.“Our NSP family is devastatedtoday,” said Col. John Bolduc,superintendent of the state patrol,in a statement. “Kyle wasa dedicated trooper, a devotedpublic servant, and most importantlya good friend to many inOmaha and beyond.
