FROM THE PUBLISHER’S

FROM THE PUBLISHER’S DESK GOD ANSWERED OUR PRAYERS Donald J. Trump will be the 47th President of the United States Well, my friends as promised we’re updating this issue of The BLUES to talk about the results of the 2024 election. Our prayers have been answered and Donald J. Trump will be the 47th president of our country. I’m so proud of the fact that we have an audience of over 1.5 million readers that the majority of which followed our leads and voted RED. I appreciate the hundreds of emails, texts and calls that came flowing in after the race was called last night. Just goes to show what a powerful voice First Responders, their families and friends really are. We believe in God; we believe in Donald J. Trump, and we’re proud to be Americans and live in the greatest country on Earth. God heard our prayers, and America is on her way back. What’s even more exciting, is that we’ve taken back the Senate and perhaps held our majority in the House. Congratulations to Senator Ted Cruz on his win in Texas as well as our brother in blue Jimmy Fullen, who had a landslide victory and will become the next sheriff of Galveston County. Fullen’s win comes amid a firestorm of controversy about a TCOLE ruling regarding his peace officer license in Texas. But despite all the negative ads and Facebook posts, he stood tall and handled it like a professional lawman and future sheriff would. I’m confident that come January, he will prevail at hearing by the State Office of Administrative Hearings and go on to be one of the greatest sheriffs in Galveston County’s history. Up the highway in Harris County, our longtime friend and former HPD Officer and Houston City Councilman Mike Knox ran a great campaign for sheriff of Harris County against the incumbent Sheriff Ed Gonzalez but fell short of achieving his goal. Mike is a man of great integrity and I’m sure he will go on to do great things in Houston and Harris County. Next month we’ll have a complete wrap-up of law enforcement related elections across the country. • • • Living in Texas, it’s hard to understand what our brothers and sisters are going through in hurricane ravaged Florida and North Carolina. Entire towns have been wiped off the map. Dozens, if not hundreds, of people are missing and presumed dead. Their bodies buried under mud and debris. Entire families were swept away as mud slides and rivers of water washed over the mountainsides of these quaint little towns. They had no warning. This has never happened in North Carolina, and no one was prepared for the disaster that Hurricane Helene would bring their way. Watching the news coverage only gives you a brief 60-seconds of what the aftermath looks like. The only way to truly understand what occurred here, is to put your boots on the ground like so many others have. Not only first responders, but average citizens who came to the aide of their fellow man. Pilots from all over America, jumped into their own aircraft, both helicopters and fixed wings, and began their own rescue missions. Bringing supplies in and taking trapped people out. Stories of FEMA being MIA ran rampant on the local and national news. But given the huge path of the storm and the millions of people affected, there is no way the government or FEMA could be everywhere at once. Had it not been for the private effort, many more people would have perished from this unbelievable disaster. The lesson to learn from all of this, is that in the event of a disaster, invasion, catastrophe or an apocalypse of biblical proportions, the only way to survive is to help each other. No one is coming to save you. People make fun of preppers and survivalist. But the truth is, they are the ones who will survive no matter what comes their way. They have food, water, guns and ammunition all stored up and ready to go. If you aren’t one of them, you might 6 The Blues - November ‘24

wanna befriend one and hope they take you in when shit hits the fan. (Ken, I’m counting on you brother.) In NC, there were so many heroes it’s hard to thank them all. The men and women in BLUE who worked 24/7 to rescue their neighbors when they themselves had their own homes washed away. The firefighters, paramedics, linemen, all doing what they could without any direction, they knew what had to be done. Elon Musk for donating thousands of Starlink systems and free Internet to damn near every state that was affected. Franklin Graham’s Samaritan’s Purse was also on the ground coordinating hundreds of airlift relief flights to cut-off communities in western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee. They delivered supplies including food, water, generators, fuel, Starlink systems, heaters, solar lights, and blankets. They are a truly amazing group. If you’d like to donate to Samaritan’s Purse and their hurricane relief efforts, go here: https://www.samaritanspurse.org/ CONGRATULATIONS DONALD J. TRUMP, 47TH PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA SENATOR TED CRUZ, RE-ELECTED TO THE U.S. SENATE JIMMY FULLEN, SHERIFF ELECT OF GALVESTON COUNTY The Blues - November ‘24 7
